Altitude Physio & Massage Hakuba is proud to announce an exciting rebrand for the 2025 winter season — introducing Peak Sports Physio Hakuba.

For those familiar with the snow sports physiotherapy community in Hakuba, Furano, and Australian ski resorts, the Altitude Physio brand has long been synonymous with excellence in ski injury physiotherapy, sports massage, and rehabilitation services. Since 2018, Altitude Physio Japan has been operated by lead physiotherapist Kate, who established a strong reputation for evidence-based treatment and exceptional client care within Japan’s premier ski destinations.

Continuing the Legacy of Excellence

In 2024, experienced physiotherapists Ashlee Unie and Callum Smith — who first joined the Altitude Physio Japan team during the 2022–23 winter season — were given the opportunity to take over operations in Hakuba. Together, they now lead Peak Sports Physio Hakuba as Co-Directors, building on the strong clinical foundations and high standards of care established by the Altitude Physio team.

The rebrand to Peak Sports Physio Hakuba marks a new chapter for the clinic, highlighting both an expansion of services and a renewed commitment to providing world-class physiotherapy and massage care to skiers, snowboarders, and mountain athletes in the Hakuba Valley.

Expanded Services and Enhanced Patient Care

While the clinic’s name has changed, the core values remain the same: exceptional service, expert clinical care, and personalised rehabilitation.
In 2025, Peak Sports Physio Hakuba introduces:

  • An expanded range of physiotherapy and sports massage services for both acute and chronic injuries.

  • Specialised ski and snowboard injury management, tailored to the demands of snow sports athletes.

  • Pick up and drop off services valley-wide.

  • Two clinic locations, in Norikura and Happo-One to better service the Hakuba Valley.

  • Close collaboration with Altitude Physio clinics in Australia to ensure seamless patient referral pathways and professional development opportunities for our physiotherapy team.

This strong international partnership allows our physiotherapists to continue working within leading sports physiotherapy clinics across both Japan and Australia, maintaining a high level of expertise and consistency in care for our clients.

Gratitude and Looking Ahead

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Kate, Cainey, and Simon for their ongoing support and for entrusting us with the future of such a high-quality and respected physiotherapy service in Hakuba. Their leadership has been instrumental in building the foundations that allow us to move confidently into this next phase.

As Peak Sports Physio Hakuba, we look forward to continuing to serve the Hakuba community, seasonal workers, and international visitors with the highest standard of care in sports physiotherapy, massage therapy, and rehabilitation.

Whether you’ve sustained a ski or snowboard injury, seeking performance optimisation, or simply looking to stay active and pain-free throughout the winter season, Peak Sports Physio Hakuba remains your trusted partner in expert physiotherapy and sports care in Japan’s iconic Hakuba Valley.
