Peak Sports Physio Hakuba Co-Director Joins Australian Snowboard Cross Team on European Tour

🌍 From Hakuba to the World Stage

Senior physiotherapist Ash from Peak Sports Physio Hakuba with the Australian Snowboard Cross Team during their European training tour

We’re thrilled to celebrate Co-Director and Senior Physiotherapist Ash as she embarks on a six-week tour with the Australian Snowboard Cross Team, supporting their European training campaign across Switzerland, Austria, and Italy in preparation for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina.

This appointment marks another milestone in Ash’s impressive career. Having joined the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia’s Physiotherapy Team in 2024 for a tour with the Australian Para-Snowboard Cross Team in the Netherlands, she continues to play a key role in supporting elite winter athletes on the global stage.

💪 Elite Experience Meets Local Care

Before joining Peak Sports Physio Hakuba, Ash built an impressive background in sports physiotherapy and is now nearing completion of her Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy. She also brings firsthand knowledge of high-performance sport as a former elite netball athlete and a recovered ACL injury patient from her time with the Sunshine Coast Lightning.

Her unique combination of:

  • 🎓 Advanced academic training

  • 🏅 Experience with elite national teams

  • ❤️ A compassionate, down-to-earth approach

makes her one of the most skilled and relatable physiotherapists you’ll find in the snow sports world.

Before moving to Japan, Ash worked at The Knee Joint — one of Queensland’s top sports physiotherapy clinics — where she developed a passion for knee injury management and athlete rehabilitation.

🏔 Returning to Hakuba Soon

After completing her European tour, Ash will return to Peak Sports Physio Hakuba, located inside the Hakuba Gateway Hotel in Hokujo. She’ll resume her role as our Senior Physiotherapist and resident knee-injury expert, helping both visitors and locals recover from injuries and optimise their performance on and off the slopes.

Whether you’ve suffered a ski injury, snowboard crash, or simply need a pre-season performance tune-up, Ash and the Peak Sports Physio Hakuba team are here to help you move better, recover faster, and enjoy your time in the mountains.
